Osaka Prep

As Suz wrote last week we have been staying with friends in a nice city called Suzuka. But yesterday we had to leave and head to Osaka to prep for the event here starting on Wednesday.

We played here last year and though that the event was in the same place, so when we turned up to the 'venue' only to find nothing there we were a little concerned! Turns out it was further down the river than last year and the map that we go off on the FIVB website wasn't that clear on that! But we got there, in the rain! and trained. This year the event is set up in a car park! So the sand has been boxed for each court and you step off onto the concrete! makes for very compact courts which means you an jump out of your skin on the sand! YES!!! =)

There are a lot of teams coming to this event because there are only 2 more before World Champs next month and so we are in the Qualifier. We will need to win about 2 games to be one of the 8 teams that make the main draw. Always tough in the qualifier, but we are in a much better position than last year!

Suz will report how we went next week!!!!!!
